The Market House, Bridport

The pub has been refurbished very nicely, and the decor inside is great, with a good atmosphere. BUT the food is over priced, and not of a very good standard.
The last meal we had i ordered the mackerel from the specials board, the two fish arrived in a dish with a little salad and the fish with a little melted parmesan cheese on it. On trying to eat the fish i found blood running from them ( not cooked properly ) but worst was to come, i found they had not been gutted. On telling the waitress she removed them, but came back a little later to say the chef said this is how they should be as they are only small fish.
The main was not much better, moroccon lamb shank on a bed of cous cous which was soggy with no taste, what was moroccon about the lamb ? perhaps it came from there frozen because it had no spice and no taste.
Will i eat there again NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
