Great atmosphere, great selection of beers, cider, and spirits, food very good, and bar staff very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit

The Ship Inn, Polperro

We were on holiday last year when the pup was taken over with new management, and were very impressed with food, drink and atmosphere, very family friendly a great improvement from our prevous visit in 2006. Returned this year expecting the same, very disappointed went in for a drink and a meal, only to be greeted with a sign on the door telling us that families with children had to sit through the back, went in but pub has now reverted back to the 2006 arrangements, the bar staff could not even muster a smile, left without ordering a meal. Have killed the atmosphere, not as friendly, appears thet the enthusiasm has wained. A great pity as we really enjoyed our many nights spent there last year.

The Crumplehorn Inn, Polperro

Stayed here last year and were so impressed with everything, we went back for another 2 week stay this year. The Accomodation is comfotable, clean, and very spacious, the food is amazing, and the selection of beers, wines and Spirits, is something you would only expect from a much larger establishment, and the regular live entertainment is not bad either. The Owners Allan and Sonja, are very friendly and cannot do enough for you , and always willing to go that extra mile. The Bar Staff are all very friendly knowledgeable, and efficient, as are the Waiting Staff. It can be a very busy establishment, but if you have the time to wait you will always be served, and you will not be disappointed. Some complain about the time you have to wait on meals being served after ordering, but if you want the best fresh products freshly cooked, I'm sure the selection of local produced Beers and Ciders will keep you well amused till the food arrives. Just make sure you're hungry, the portions are not sparing, but remember to leave space for the sweets, which are all made on site (They are all to die for). We did not eat here every day of our holiday, we tried other places in Polperro and Looe, but The Crumplehorn Inn was without doubt the best, so if your looking for accomodation, a meal or just a pleasant drink and atmosphere, you can't go wrong here.
