The Rambler Country House, Edale

Stayed with family for long weekend (two young children) in August 07 Food was excellent and value for money as was the rooms. When we arrived the Landlady informed us that staff did not go into our rooms unless requested and if we needed anything just to ask. We put this to the test the next day when our youngest was unwell (too much ice cream) and we needed the sheets changing. The staff came in changed the bedding and were still smiling and talking to the children when they left. All the staff were friendly and always had time for the children facilities were also child friendly, The Landlady always had something for the children to do games/pictures/activities when their father went out walking The children also really enjoyed the hens and the ducks in the Ramblers animal corner. The Landlord even allowed them to choose their own breakfast egg if they were awake when he collected them in the morning. Although there is no disabled access I need hip replacement and use sticks the staff were more that helpful and did not find it difficult. Highly recommended will be staying there again, (the children loved it and are still talking about the chickens). Ps Beds to die for wish I could have taken one home and you must try the Stake and ale Tankard
