The Echo, Gravesend

Having been a wife of a very social drinker I am the anti christ of pubs, I have a strict criteria that must be met before I will even entertain bringing myself into an establishment. Partly this is because I am a hospo worker and am a massive snob.
I was very reluctant to try out the Echo again after several disappointing experiences when we first moved here. However under duress I went along to see what the New Managers had done to the place. NOTABLY: CLEAN/NEW TOILETS(PRAISE THE LORD)/ LOVELY DECOR and the Garden OMG, an oasis for frazzled parents, completely safe and enclosed with plenty of toys to occupy the demons! Well done!! Super impressed.
Only criticism is there isn't bar food, but you can't have everything and it is only a small pub. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I am quite happy to spend the afternoon over a cold one and some friends.
In fact I am very happy to bring my mother in law down as well!
