The Minerva Inn, Plymouth

Now I'm a little biased, since I work there, but I've also been a regular there for about ten months so I think I've got a reasonable handle.

We're the oldest pub in plymouth and serve four real ales - Hobgoblin, Abbott, Doom Bar and Bass, as well as a couple of ciders and the usual lager/bitter selection. Live music thursday through sunday, and when that isnt around the jukebox has a great selection of older music from electrofunk to rock to motown. Personally I find this great since most modern rock music just doesnt do it for me, and since the music comes on randomly through the day its always good to have your foot tapping on the floor to music than out of boredom!

Great relaxed drinking atmosphere, friendly staff (gotta plug myself somewhere, eh?) who can apprecaite good jokes and magic tricks should you be so inclined to show us.

Admittedly we dont do food apart from a limited range of sandwiches from 1230-1430, but otherwise a solid component of a night out.
