The Riverside Bar and Restaurant, Sutton Bridge
What food?
I found this pub to indeed be oldie worldy but not friendly at all. I was glared at and made to feel very unwelcome on my visit. Still I suppose it takes all sorts.

After visiting the pub and eating there recently I found that the food was of a high standard and well worth the visit. The licencee has changed once again and the new couple have really taken the bit between their teeth and are trying hard to build up the busines. The bed and breakfast is up and running again and is reportedly a bargain, not suffisticated or clinical but clean and friendly. I have only seen one peice of ill humour whilst I have been visiting and that turned out to be another licencees party from the other end of the village. Jealousy perhaps as after visiting their establishment it was unfriendly and frequented by questionable clientel. Still thats another tale.
I would recommend that you try the Anchor Inn again and experience the friendly bubbly Landlady and the excellent food on offer. If you want loutish behaviour do not go its a framily pub and the licencees want to keep it that way.
Xmas Draw is on soon buy a ticket and see.

The Anchor, Sutton Bridge
After Annonomous comments I revisited this establishment and found it to be clean. Yes there are children allowed in to the pub but there hasn't been an excessive amount. Perhaps Annonomous ought to try the other pubs in Norfolk before stating his point. Which I still find unfounded.
