Coach and Horses, Fleet Street

Nice, comfortable, unpretentious and good value pub, with pool tables and dart board, and reasonable prices. They don't do food.

The only drawback is that you need to tiptoe around the landlord, especially if him and his friends have had a few pints. Sadly, we no longer frequent this establishment because one of our number had "creative differences" with the landlord...

The Woolpack, London Bridge

Reasonable, if somewhat limited selection of lagers and ales. Nice decor. Food is great, although selection is limited and quite expensive. Pub appears to be pitched at a yuppie clientele, so this is to be expected.

The big letdown for me was the breathtakingly rude staff. Our group was being a little loud, and the "gentleman" on duty asked us to keep the noise down. However, there is no excuse for rudeness, and we will not be returning if we can help it.
