The Chequers, Woodley

My God. I went back to this pub today after a break of 2 years since my enforced patronage some years ago.

TO explain why I've given it two points:

It shows football.
It serves alcohol.

It has nothing else to credit it. The lines are never cleaned and the staff hygiene leaves much to be desired. On my last visit, an elderly patron ( who should have been ejected by this point because he was so drunk ) was repeatedly served whole bottles of wine. Halfway through his third, he wet himself all over one of the seats on his table. Despite the fact that he loudly let the whole pub know what had happened before shuffling out of the pub, the staff did not bother to clean it, arguing amongst themselves. until the pub was totally infused with the stench of urine.

I went there today to check if they would be showing the Arsenal West Ham game and have returned home to see if there is anywhere else in Woodley I can watch it.
