The Three Horseshoes, Laleham

Back in the day (late 80s, early 90s), the Shoes was THE place to be on a Friday or Saturday night and definitely on New Year's Eve. It then went through a series of reinventions. At it's worst, it was a dead local hole in the evenings and an alternative for older people to Notcutts' cafe for during the day. The recently refurbed and reopened Shoes is a joy - bang up to date decor, great atmosphere - lively, but not too loud so that you can't hear your mates, really good service and a wonderful menu - fish and chips for traditionalists and a coulis/jus or two for the gastromaniacs. Lovely garden and restaurant (bookable) area, too. Enjoy :-)
