The Hare and Billet, Blackheath

Had Sunday lunch there today - awful food : ( Had the roast lamb and the roast potatoes were deep fried, the vegetables were not fresh and everything was soaked in gravy. Service was slow (but there were 15 of us on our table). However, when I told the manager I wasn't going to pay for my food, she was perfectly polite about this and apologised. I left there feeling hungry and unfortunately I won't return.

The Vineyard, Lamberhurst

10 of us went for a birthday meal on Sunday a few weeks ago and we were absolutely appalled by the service and food. The more 'mature' waitress was patronising and rude and the entire occasion was ruined by the service and poor quality food. We complained and had our bill reduced but we went elsewhere (Carlucchios in TWells) for our desserts where the service was exceptional. We will never return. Who on earth gave them awards???? Surely someone was having a joke.
