Well what can I say. This is an estate pub and although a bit run down you'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier place on a Saturday or Sunday lunchtime.
Strangers are made welcome and if you are a pool player even better.
San Miguel on tap and Tetleys for the bitter drinkers, never a problem with the beer but watch out for the Parrot!

Ye Olde Coach and Horses Inn, Melton

Well I use this establishment around 5 times a year at lunch times taking professional people who visit our Company. I have never experienced a bad meal yet and in fact our visitors from mainly overseas have been very impressed.
The beer is excellent and yes there is something slightly "Fawly Towerish" about the service but it just adds to the occasion. Chris (the Chef) is without doubt the best in the area and I can vouch for food being fresh in the main. In fact he will cater for parties where he will cook it in front of you.

I simply can't relate to the previous comments but maybe it is different in the evening although some of my colleagues have taken family there and never any complaints.
