McGlynns, Kings Cross

After over two years of not seeing my little brother, I was less than impressed by the neighbourhood I was walking through to see him again.
A busy train station, construction and drab B&Bs, with uniform front entrances and not in the least warm or welcoming.
Then I turned the corner on to Whidborne St. and there was this light on the corner, warm and friendly. Like an inviting oasis in the middle of a dark neighbourhood, McGlynn's is everything you would want from a local pub.
I'm glad I came to meet Gerry and the rest of the gang. I know my brother is in good hands.
(even if he does occasionally need to see the "Dolan fighting stance"!!)
