The Florence, Herne Hill

Well its official Herne Hill is now simply a clapham clone. What a rubbish bar. I am sorry that I have been part of the gentrification area. What once made Herne Hill special has slowly been eroded. The Florance is a horrible example of this. Pretentious, over priced, staffed by morons more concerned with their appearance than actually serving customers.

The Tappit Hen, Dunblane

A very very friendly little pub. Good selection of ales and bottle largers, friendly and mixed crowd in terms of age.
If you are in Dunblane definitely worth a quick visit. I expect you will stay longer than you intended.

The Old Explorer, Oxford Circus

I think it�s an awful pub.

On my last visit 3 of the staff stood away from the bar talking, whilst one poor girl did her best to cope on her own. The bar was sticky and dirty, there was no atmosphere.

A drunk at the bar cast aspersions on my sexuality because I, sin of sins carried a bag. It was like some form of 1970's homophobic time warp.

In that part of town there are nicer, cheaper, friendlier and generally better pubs to choose from. Visit one of them instead, any one of them!

However if you do find your self in there make sure you don�t carry a bag and make sure you assert very loudly that you prefer kissing girls to kissing boys.
