Potentially the best Pub for miles around, alas, it deserves better toilets, a better cleaner, a better cook, and softer lighting......but the staff behind the bar are great!
Let the Landlord have a free hand to pilot the improvements, he has the ability. Invest a little cash and reap the rewards!
