The Andover Arms, Hammersmith

Whatever people's opinions about Tom, he was decent fellow trying to make this pub work. The beer was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. Sadly good, old fashioned pubs simply don't exist any more. That is mainly a tax issue, not a landlord issue. HOWEVER, I was in last night and there is a new manager. The atmosphere was terrible, there was incredibly loud 'party' music blaring out at top volume and when the new landlord was asked to turn it down he reacted with completely uncalled for aggression. One of my favourite pubs in the area has been ruined. Boycotted till this aggressive and rude man leaves. It's become like every other pub in London. What a tragedy.
