The Rose and Crown, Chippenham

A big disappointment. Sunday lunch is a large roast with lots of veg and roast potatoes, well not in this pub. The surroundings very tasteful and the staff very attentive. But alas the food let down what would be a really superb place to eat. The menu made you believe you were in for a treat but when the meal arrived you had to move the meat to find your vegetables and found you had carrot and parsnip batons and ONE roast potato yes one and not a whole one at that so if you are not too keen on carrots and parsnips you will be hungry. I am a vegetarian and my meal was nice but sparse for the money. So I opted for the cheese and biscuits of which we had to pay an extra three pounds for as the other puddings was not to my liking. It could be really nice but.................

The White Horse, Duns Tew

We had our Chrismas Party there on Saturday night the food was very good but over priced,very cold could not take my jacket off all night and the service very poor. The staff quite rude and not very professional on the whole very poorly ran. I don't think any of our party will be going there again as this pub was recommended by someone we were very disappointed.
