The Woolpack, Ipswich

very good local pub, feels well out of town but within very easy walking distance of the town centre. Warm welcom, good atmosphere, can get very busy and jolly. Wide range of food, sometimes think the vegetables suffer from being cooked a bit early but on the whole adventurous and extensive menu, worth a try. Only criticism, the staff as a whole seem unable to pour (southern) beer properly, tend to thrash it into the glass instead of using a steady pull which results in a lot of foam and isn't good for the quality of the ale. Otherwise very good.
