The Crown Hotel, Chertsey

Tony & Sian used to run the Dukes Head in Wallington and are lovely despite their affliction (being Welsh!)
I found it excellent value for money as I went there on 22nd November 2003, drank as much beer as I could, stayed the night in the hotel and the total bill was zero. Zilch. Nothing. This is due to the fact that the aforementioned governor had made me a bet that England wouldn't win the rugby world cup. True to his word, as soon as Jonny W kicked that last minute drop goal, my phone rang and the large Welshman invited me to collect my winnings. He wasn't bitter at all...

I use this at lunchtime - good beer, excellent Thai food nd great staff. Recommended.
