The Bright Helm, Brighton

A few years ago... I entered this pub by the corner door, stood for a mo to get my bearings then started towards the bar. But, before I could do so, a pimply bouncer leapt into my path to tell me I wasn't allowed to come through the door which I'd just walked through. I politely mentioned that it was hardly important as I was already well inside. The poor lad looked close to tears but refused to budge so I took pity and went out of 'that' door and re-entered by another.
I'd hate to think which government dept the pimply one is now running.
