The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted

The Rising Sun is, by far, the best pub in Berkhamsted. It proffers a continuously changing range of ales (with the house ale from Tring Brewery always available) and an extensive selection of ciders. They also offer Warsteiner for lager drinkers, which provides a welcome change from the selection one normally encounters. The service is excellent, the setting wonderful (especially on a sunny day) and the atmosphere is that of a proper pub. Ultimately, a pub for the drinksman in which Kingsley Amis would've been happy to drink (despite the music)!
