The Kingsdon Inn, Somerton

This is simply a great country pub with the added benefit of really superb food at fair prices. The chef works his socks off to provide top class dishes that keep people coming back for more and the word is starting to spread. With trade rising I suggest you go there on a quieter day of the week so you can savour the surroundings without the weekend crowd. Cosy and romantic, a great place to take someone special.

Kingsdon is a lovely village to walk around, very historic and interesting houses to look at and if you have young kids the playground is opposite the pub. just a mile from National Trust Lytes Cary too.
