The Flask, Highgate

A little of the way but a visit to Highgate is worth the journey.
Having noticed countless times how popular the Flask is we ventured there for Sunday lunch. This was a mistake. The beer seems fine but the food was appalling. We ordered the Sunday roast but it seemed to have been cooked days beforehand, particularly the vegetables and the roast potatoes which were inedlible. I asked for some freshly cooked ones but they didn't arrive. The staff were helpful and suggested I take a pudding on the house, I ordered a crumble. When it appeared we were astounded at how unappetising it looked and how very un-crumbly. It was almost laughable if we'd not spent �30 on three dinners...never again!!!!
