The Swan Inn, Ulverston

Hawkshead Brewery's very first pub, and they're doing an excellent job at it. Usually has at least 3 guest ales as well as several of their own real ales. Very friendly staff. A large part of the pub is now non-smoking, and the air ventilation system works well to make sure even the area where smoking is allowed stays quite fresh.

At the time of writing they recently started serving food, and just held their first ale festival with around 20+ real ales from the local area - this event was very successful.

The pub has always suffered a little from being closer to the outskirts of town than the others, but now its quality has started to draw people in regardless. Highly recommended.
