The Sportsman 'Time Well Spent', Mogador

I used to go this pub years ago; a real charmer in the countryside, wonderfully positioned by walton heath, a ramblers delight one might say. Of late it appears it's taken a turn for the worse though. I've been here twice over the last few weeks trying to re-live the memories I had from years ago of supping a quiet pint by the fireside, the first, my wife and I enjoyed a romantic meal of confit of duck by blue flashing lights, as the owner arrived and beat up one of their own bar staff and was promptly arrested. These things have been known to happen in the license trade from time to time, so at a second attempt, I arrived at 9pm last sunday with my father to find the pub shut without explanation. A disapointing memory best forgotton.
