Rokka, Ramsgate

I would like to say I had a great time at Rokka. Coming down from London to celebrate a friend's birthday, we went to several bars in Ramsgate last night. I was wearing new trainers (I prefer dancing to posing) and was not allowed in to Rokka, despite the fact that 3 men were wearing trainers and standing outside the bar smoking. I pointed out the first man and asked the bouncer and Rokka's owner why he was allowed in and I was not. The owner (it is Nick?), told me because his trainers were Fred Perry! I wouldn't personally be seen dead in Fred Perry, but each to his own. I then saw 2 more men in trainers and the owner told me he 'couldn't give a flying fuck.' Nice. I won't be visiting Rokka again, the door policy is too haphazard, outdated and the owner is pretty rude.
