The Anglesea Arms, Chelsea

The Anglesea was visited on a Saturday mid-day and it was fairly quiet. Rather a Cosmopolitan mix of clientele. Beer very good but pricy even for London. After a while it became very crowded and smokey which I hate, it affects the lungs and the beer. A TV was on for sport. This is a very nice old pub but straped for seating in the raised bar. Food looked very good, but also the locals were served first, which is a shame as this is not acceptabel I am afraid.

The Bookbinders Ale House, Oxford

This mpub was popular with Oxford students many years ago and was shoiwn in the very first "Morse" murder programme, "The Dead of Jericho". It was then a Morrells pub now sadly an ex-brewery, but was always popular and summer time you could walk the nrearby canal towpath.

The Britannia, Barking

This is a most excellent pub and the beer is always good. Comfortable old style back street pub with three bars!! The licensee has been nhere for a long time and allows no anti-social individuals. Expect good food and good service here, it is a family pub with a great reputation. It certainly deserves the CAMRA Pub of the Year certificates. Rita and John deserve a pat on the back for their hard work
