The Brewery Inn, Ashtead

I have visited the Brewery frequently over the years even in the days when it was called the Brewery Tap. For the first time since last summer I visited again on Mothers day for lunch and was very disappointed to find the food almost inedible. The meat on the steak and roast beef offering was so cheap and tough most of it remained uneaten. The vegetables were also only partly cooked. I should have guessed the pub had gone downhill as it was virtually empty at 1pm on a Mothering Sunday. The beer and service were Ok, but give the food a miss.
