Crown Inn, Westcott

Has it now reached a point where we judge our pubs like some people do with their beer, they hold it up to the light and view it from every angle before they take their first sip. Does a pub have to be in pristine condition with nothing out of place to make it a good pub? Of course not!
The Crown is a very good country pub with good beers and excellent food, (try the steak pie and veg and see how much you can eat, and all for �8 and some change). In all the time I have visited the pub I have never asked for a specific beer I have always left the choice to Paul the landlord he knows his beers and what�s best on that day, and I have never been disappointed. I for one wouldn�t want it painted in colour coordinated pastel colours, that wouldn�t improve the beer or the food.
