The Wheatsheaf Inn, Exning

Thought I would take advantage of the recently opened B&B facilities at this loveley little pub, as I was in the area on business, instead of pleasure (I'm usually in here for a sunday roast without fail). Food, was as always...FANTASTIC (You wont find better). Had several pints in the bar with Ken & Jane (The Landlords)and several of the friendly locals, who are more than welcoming to an outsider (I'm from Herts). The rooms are superb *****, recently refurbished, full of olde worldy character and have ensuite facilities. Breakfast was a choice of Continental, Great English and Smoked Fish. The only problem I have now is that I was looked after so well that I dont want to go home, so now the missus will have to move in with me!!!

Well, what can I say. Our third visit to this wonderful little pub (with friends this time) and yet again delivers on all fronts. A great selection of traditional ales and all the usual spirits. Friendly bar staff. Helpful and very pleasant waitresses, who go out of their way to make you feel welcome with nothing being too much trouble. I must say the sunday roast was, as usual, excellent 10/10. As it was a nice day, we decided to stay for a while and sit out in the garden in the glorious sunshine where we got talking to a few of the friendly locals. Great Pub

One Word - Dive

Do go here if you want to get into a fight for no reason, have your bird harrassed by other men (While your talking to her)or get beaten up by the bouncers (Plastic Gangsters with big attitude - who hit women). Absolute joke that this place is allowed to be open till 3am, in fact absolute joke that this place IS OPEN AT ALL(Council must be getting a big brown envelope). Think I would rather be in iraq. I feel sorry for the people that live next door. Avoid at all costs
