George, Tewkesbury

It's not a pub any more. It has become Tewkesbury's Post Office!

The Mug House, Claines

A lovely pub; warm and friendly. A good pint of Cocker Hoop. I'll be back!

Greyhound, Bridport

We had breakfast here, and it was fine. I think breakfast and cheap, good beer is what Wetherspoons do best (I'm not very impressed by their other food). The service was good. The only thing I could fault was that empty tables weren't cleared quickly enough.

The Five Bells Inn, Whitchurch Canonicorum

Pleasant enough, and a friendly welcome, but not much about it stands out. The Palmers beer was, well, just very average (I haven't yet had a pint of it that I like).

Shave Cross Inn, Marshwood Vale

Good beers and a good atmosphere. We didn't eat there, but enjoyed our visit.

The Tudor Arms, Slimbridge

I'm sorry to say I was really disappointed with this pub. The board outside said 'Camra country pub of the year 2007/8/9' and I thought 'this is going to be good.' And the beer was fine. But the outside seating area, sheltered by glass walls, was filthy. There were loads of flies, food, dust and used serviettes on the floor, the tables were dirty. The Gents was smelly. Maybe it was an off day, but the mark of a great pub is that it doesn't have off days.
