A classic old village pub, hatch service, pork scratchings and good rotation of guest ales. Great for sitting by the fire in the worn out armchairs.

A soulless barn of a place when it's quiet, but the food's good and the service is very friendly and efficient (a rarity in London).

A great improvement on the old Rat & Parrot. The interior is a bit spartan, but plenty of space and seating especially in the 'snug' area. Every time I've eaten there the food has been excellent, but the service is so inept it's comical - they'll bring out the food but forget the cutlery, for example.
