This pub has had a patchy history and for years was home to the worst of Glastonbury's drinkers - real wastes of space.
The new landlord, Will, is making real strides at de-scumming though and deserves support. Its not posh but a good serviceable local boozer with real prospect for improvement. The only drinkable cider in town too. Good range of music events and real efforts to work with his neighbours to reduce nuisance.
I think that finally The Arthur has someone in there who can crack it!

Excellent pub - landlord welcoming and friendly without being overbearing, nice beer and cider. Landlord (who is fairly new I think) also sorted us food not on menu due to my wife's dietary needs.
I suspect if I'd seen it of an evening too I'd have rated it even higher.
Give the bloke some custom if you are ever down this way

The Market House Inn, Glastonbury
The local hell-hole run by a thug and now nearly almost empty as he's had to stop serving children. He is currently on bail charged with assault!
Any customers left are neanderthals.
I pity any poor sod who is daft enough to book accommodation there on line. When they see it they will run a mile and no chance of deposit back.
Once he goes bust it will take forever to rehabilitate - probably end up being turned into flats and good riddance
