The Lamplighter, St Helier

I agree with previous comment, no room for Mr Sebastian's drivel. This pub now has 12 hand pulls, a delight to see when you walk in - 8 ales 4 ciders. This time round glad to see more local ales, 2 from Jersey, Herm Gold and Liberation Rouge. And 1 from Guernsey (you can just about call it local). I particularly enjoyed the Liberation, sad to see no longer food available. But the vast amount of whiskies go down just as well with a good pint. This pub is certainly the jewel in Jerseys crown - a joy!

Back in my favourite pub in Jersey, and was pleasantly surprised they've actually improved on a great selection already. There are now 12 handpulls, 8 beers (Ringwood Best, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Courage Directors, Banks's Howling Wolf, Skinners Ginger Tosser, Jennings Cumberland Ale, Jersey Liberation Rouge and Randalls Ruby Tuesday) on during my visit. The latter being extra special. And 4 Westons ciders were available. The food was still reasonably priced with oversized portions and the staff were as I found last time pleasantly helpful. The Landlord was as jovial as ever always keen to promote his pub. A must visit for anyone who loves real ale and good food, Jerseys best pub in my opinion.

very disappointing,5 ales advertised first pint(directors)sour, second(ringwoods)told it was gone(where i dont know),third(john smiths cask) satisfactory but had to ask for it to be topped up. the landlord seemed to be having a bad day was not very accommodating, weren't made to feel welcome. Won't visit again, worth a miss!!
