Railway capital of the north of England yet this is its very disappointing station boozer. No beer at all on my last visit... but always a lot of lager, usually served by someone who looks like they're tending the place for an older friend. I agree with swcooper - try the Maltings.

Don't expect a "Good Evening" or a "Thank You" from the miserable bar staff here. They really let down what should be a smashing pub.

Extremely vibrant. Since the smoking ban, they've had a smoke machine installed. Excellent!
