Very good transformation from a below average village boozer to a great country pub and restaurant. Excellent food and atmosphere. Great place for sunday lunch but need to book first (always a good sign).

The Black Squirrel, Letchworth
This used to be my local (ok not a good thing to admit!). Had a bit of a refit, flirted with Thai food (very good), then became an upmarket mexican for a few months and then finally closed. What next for the "Squirrel"?

The Broadway Hotel, Letchworth
More of a hotel and carvery now. They seem to discourage casual drinkers (not a bad thing in Letchworth). Good value for money food though, a great place to take Granny for Lunch on a sunday

Good and food and service during the day. Great place for a weekday lunchime. But gets too crowded on Friday/Saturday evenings when the service is awful. Best to avoid during football matches.

Not known locally as the Giro club for nothing. If you want to see how the benefit scroungers of Letchworth spend their days and money this is the place to come.

Great place, great food. A good way to spend a slow afternoon. Only wish it was a little big

Good beer, but very small and smokey especially on band nights when a lot of the customers might be a little less than 18!

Corn Exchange, Hitchin
Really used to like going to the corn, but the new music and Dj's are a real turn off. Also the music attracts the wrong crowd, Ivory is a better bet (if you can get served!)
