On the face of it, it is indeed nothing special. This pub is much more than the sum of its parts. If you are in the area it's worth going to for a pint or staying for longer. I've always had friendly and prompt service. The only thing in the past that stopped me from going there more was the smoke which is no longer the case since the ban was introduced.

I tend not to eat in pubs that often as the quality of food is extremely variable. This place does very good Thai food. The only downside is that is rather smoky. Overall a good pub.

It has closed down. It used to be a cracking pub at one time and for the last few years has still been reasonable. It will be reopening as a Slug and Lettuce pub.

I avoid this place like the plague. A vile place to go in the evening during weekends. It's ok for watching sport in.

The Grange, Ealing Common
I used to frequent this public house regularly before the refit. It was a far better pub, one of Ealing's best in my opinion, even if it was slightly shabby. That was part of its charm. I then avoided it for a year after it was refurbished thinking it was another All Bar One. Thankfully I discovered it isn't. It is a decent pub but it is not what it once was.
