The Masonic Arms, Castle Douglas
Address is wrong. pub is in Gatehouse of Fleet not Castle Douglas,(DISTANCE BETWEEN THESE TWO TOWNS IS APPROX 12 MILES).

Has not been CAMRA pub of the year for years.Real ale changes to often (every week). So no regular one.Food is ok,the problem is the lack of service in the bar on many occasions that i have been in you may have to ring the bell for service and still wait five minutes.my opinion and many others is that the focus seems to be on food service not on the bar or the locals,which is now becoming very noticeable as it is very few locals use it.Also closes early on three night per week.Not the place it once was. Just to finish once you do get a drink the barmaid disappears and you are left in a completely empty bar,if you want another drink RING THE BELL.

The Laurie Arms Inn, Laurieston
at one time was excellent small village pub,now struggling, one real ale on tap,minimal basic food.washing machine in gents?very quite at anytime.

no longer called BAR 10.pub has been revamped now called MONTYS.

Blue Peter Hotel, Kirkcolm
landed in here for a quick pint was not dissapointed (houstons black and tan) cheapest village pub i; BEEN IN FOR A LONG TIME.well worth a visit
