The Anchor, Southwark

This place does what is says on the tin, on a summers evening there is no nicer place to be on the southbank. It has seating so large groups can usually sit together and fine views. The service might be rubbish but so what as long as yo uhave done your round then hopefully it will be a while b4 you have to face it again. I would only use this place in the summer, winter it gets too smokey and crowded.

The Clarendon Inn, Sandgate

Was down for a night in Sandgate and wandered into this pub on the off chance it might be alright, was really pleased as found it was friendly, a very locals pub but all very hospitable. Nice pint of Oranjeboom or two was put away and if ever back the area will definatley stop off again.

The Eagle, Shooter's Hill

OK, I was a bit wrong to say awful back in November, can I change my mind?? I meant a disgrace, the pub is in quite a nice road in South London and a little while back i noticed a To Let sign hanging above above but still in action, must have been a good weekend for the Belmarsh 4 as most of the windows had been put through and replaced with lovely chip board. Do us all a favour and close it for good. Im sure the neighbours really look forward to weekends.

The Rising Sun, Blackfriars

Good place for Thai food and watching the cricket, couple of LCD tv's and beers not bad.

The Eagle, Shooter's Hill

AWFULL! under new managment a couple of years back was a promising sign as it had declined as a good old local's pub, however if you want to watch Sky though a snow storm or have a drink with someone who was just outta Belmarsh (alwight my sarn, what did ya call me? OUTSIDE NOW!) type of place then this is for you. Beers are ok but the whole place could do with a refurb.
