The Corbet Arms, Upton Magna

Unspoilt rural pub in quiet village location. A couple run this pub, sorry i don't know their names. But, she looks after the bar and makes the customers feel very welcome and his cooking is spot on. Can't get enough of the lamb shank dish. They may only have one real ale on at a time, but it has always tasted well kept to me.

The Star Inn, Copmere End

A lovely old rural pub with a well looked after long beer garden. Good real ale and great food.

Coalbrookdale Inn, Coalbrookdale

This pub is an old building set in the world hertiage site of Ironbridge Gorge. They always have a large choice of regular and guest real ales that are well kept. The bar area is basic and unspoilt but does get very smokey. The restaurant area is however a lot more pleasant and serves very good meals, good size portions at competive prices. Only small though so do book for a weekend evening. The landlord and head chef are a lovely couple who always make you very welcome.

The Anchor, High Offley

This unique pub is a little old cottage set in the middle of no where alongside a canelside. Farmland views in every direction, canel boats moored up at the end of the beer garden. A very simple unspoilt interior with high wooden settles around the fireplace. The landlady has to take a jug down into the cellar, fill it up, bring it back up and pour it into your glasses, everytime you order the only real ale, Wadworths 6X. Towpath walks in each direction from here are recommended. There is also a caravan and tent pitch area with basic facilities onsite.

The Swan, Forton

This pub has changed hands this year and had a refurb. It was a very popular good pub before but the interior now is a lot better (more up market). The beer and food is excellent. The Swan is definitely aimed at dining rather than social drinking. You will be lucky to get a seat on a weekend evening unless you've booked a table for a meal. The grand piano playing does add to the whole experience but it is too loud for conversation if you are seated anywhere near it.

The Fox, Chetwynd Aston

Well kept range of regular and guest real ales. Excellent food but a bit pricey. A couple of real open fires. Spacious interior with scrubed wooden tables, wooden and tiled flooring. Located on a quiet country lane with views over open farm land from the large beer garden. Some of the barmaids are worth appreciating too.
