The Jolly Gardeners, Vauxhall

Excellent selection of German beers - the Weihenstephan wheat beer is top. It is often quite quiet, but then again, on a sunny Friday evening, the little beer garden can be packed. As far as I can tell, the clientele are mostly suited workers from the nearby offices, especially at lunch time, and I haven't heard many Germans out there amongst them (and certainly not amongst the staff!), but that's not a crime.

The Builders Arms, Kensington

Not a bad little pub, nice staff, with a great selection of European beers (e.g. two wheatbeers). And they do a lovely little garlic sauce with their chips. The crowd's a bit sloany, but this is Kensington of course!

The Cavendish Arms, Stockwell

Lovely little pub tucked away on a backstreet. The main room has comfy settees and looks very inviting, and the 'ballroom' is perfect for concerts. Not many ales, but they pour a decent pride of London Pride. Friendly staff too!
