Rare gem of a pub serving up at least 7 real ales, and all sorts of long forgotton rareties
new menu looks good too.
This is a pub you can actually sit down and have a chat in as you watch the world go by...(extra thumbs up, it's on the river!)
Bar staff were all really polite and friendly, bit dear, but this keeps out the riff - raff!

Really friendly staff, great service.
Only annoying thing - they empty my ashtray to often....

The Old Cross Tavern, Hertford
we found the staff and customers to be a bit frosty, beer is good tho
