Nice place, great ales and very good food. We only had some starters, but the mexican stuff was better that what I had in the States the week before!

Gordon's Wine Bar, Charing Cross
Was there last Sunday. Despite the low ceiling, the place was not too smoky. No beer or ales, but great Madeira and good wine. The bar keeper gave advice on the whine and actually suggested a cheaper one! In my experience the staff is very friendly; they actually opened a new bottle to let us try. Top service and great atmosphere.

The Eagle is the best in that area. Nice ales and single malts and NO Smirnoff; I never thought I'd live to see the day!

They have ale at a nice temperature and a great selections of Lagers e.g Budvar & Staropramen. The food is good, especially the burger downstairs. Closest thing to a 'proper pub' in that area (other than The Eagle). Can get busy.

Really nice Pub. The only one in the area where you can have a Pint and a conversation at the same time. Well kept Ales and no Smirnoff Ice bubbly!

The Northcote, Clapham Junction
This pub improved a great deal since the refurb in 2010. New management; good ales; friendly staff.
