What a treat! If you like oldy worldy pubs this isnt for you as this is a top notch wine bar that could easilly sit side by side with best trendy bars in London. Interior superb. Probably the biggest array of spirits from around the world. Fabulous champagne cocktails. Pleasant and well presented staff. Clean and fresh made from scratch food. If you dont like spending a few more than other establishments then dont go. Ladies trust me its an absolute treat. Try the homemade cheesecake! Its not intimidating either which I suppouse you would expect. The only downside is the draught beer.

Totally agree with Mischa. Sue, Karen, Krysia, Gemma and co were amazing people and made a great team and produced some of the best nights out I have ever had. Remember the all day St Paddys days? They were crazy! The place is a shambles now. Nobody cares behind the bar they dont even do shamrocks in the Guinness!

Great pub and fantastic food. Owners that care about the beer the food their staff and the customers which is lovely to see. Probably the 2nd best pub in saltash after the Rodney (its the beer and staff!).

The Railway Hotel, Saltash

Not bad. Can be intimidating at times. Can get very sardine like on Karaoke night but worth it for the laugh at the bad ones and the enjoyment and admiration at some of the great singers like the lady who sings The Bitch is Back and the girl (who should be on the X factor or something) who sings River Deep, believe thats a good night out. The beer is not bad either.

The Rodney, Saltash

Amazingly different pub from what its reputation used to have many years back. By far this pub has the BEST beer in saltash - finally a pub that sells beer with life! One lady puts shamrocks and your name in the Guiness which is well neat! All the women that work there are great, full of personality and makes everyone feel welcome from regulars to new customers. (No male staff). The restuarant is now a Chinese which gives all the local take aways a run for their money as its something quite special, the staff in there too are welcoming. There are fruit machines, an Itbox, Jukebox, Darts, Pool Table, Big Screen which show all the major sports and you can play Wii on the big screen which is great fun and gets people to be interactive.
This is gradually becoming the pub to go but still people won't let its old image out of their minds. Go there you will be suprised especially as there is never any trouble unlike other pubs of today.

Oh bad beer. Lazy staff. Food declined after the rid of head chef. Still is amazingly busy though. I guess people stick to what they know.
