The Horse and Jockey, Chorlton cum Hardy

Now a Holt's pub. Be warned. They do sell other stuff though. Wear a hardhat if you're over 6'. I have eaten there twice in the summer. Food was late and bland both times.

The Beech Inn, Chorlton cum Hardy

Despite frequent reminders about the bizarre (trifid flowers) paintwork, now painted like a Goth's bedroom- very dark grey, mock olde world décor that was apparently had crafted and looks like the toilet upstairs has leaked down the walls, they refuse to return The Beech to the great pub it was. The open fires have also been ripped out, a tv blares away in the back room and a ridiculous room divider means that you can't get anywhere near the front bar. Out side is in the process of a makeover while inside is drab and cramped.
The beer is still good.

The Swan With Two Nicks, Little Bollington

Nice country pub. The beer is great. As for the food - the last two times I ate here I was disappointed, particularly today as the food was tasteless and mushy.
