The Cricketers, Rainham

Well the Crick's does look lush from the outside. The inside has also been changed slightly too, and looks a lot better, more room and the ladies have finally got the tiled floor that was needed.
The staff are really good especially Mike and Chris. 2 of the best!!
Getting really busy at the weekends and a lot less undezirables coming in, maybe to posh for them now, shame!!!
If you haven't been in for a long time, then pop your head in for a pint. If you don't like busy then do it in the week.
No more darts board which is a blessing.
A great pub, warm welcome and the food is getting better.

The Cricketers, Rainham

Well the Cricks in Rainham have done it again. The only pub I know of in Rainham with sky sports 3D. Great atmosphere, getting busier at weekends and the staff are all still fab!
Rumour has it they are getting a marquee out the back on the decking and having a TV out there for the FA Cup.
Food still good. Different beer is on specials as well when the footie is on at 1.99 a pint from kick off.

The Bell, Bredhurst

Some what over rated. The food is not that brill and seems very dark and dismal. Great for kids due to the play area.

The Spyglass and Kettle, Gillingham

Totally agree the food is fab. Char is the best cook up there. The new owners are great and very friendly. It is a shame that they took Sky away as it has become very quite, but a nice place to pop in and have a quiet drink and a bite to eat.

The Copperfields, Gravesend

Well this pub was recommended but what a hell hole. The place was filthy, service was diabolical. Carvery? Well the Turkey was nice, beef was tough and the ham was just a lump of fat but no more could be brought out until the fat had gone. There was only a choice of 2 veg dishes, cauliflower cheese and peas. 3.50, I would rather have bought food myself and cooked it better at home. Looked like the place haden't been cleaned in quite a while. I would never go back, and this was not value for money. The Toby restaurants are far better value at 5.95 and that is including dessert. My view is stay well away !!!

The Green Lion, Rainham

So glad that they advertised that they accept all people with tracksuit bottoms, and work gear. At long last there is somewhere that these people can drink without having to come into the Cricketers making it look untidy.

The Barge, Gillingham

Been here twice now. Very dark and a very strange atmosphere the first time I came here. The place to go if you just want to have quite a few drinks and not worry, but if you go somewhere else first with a great atmosphere then stay there and don't venture on. It's like stepping back in time, pinch yourself to make sure that you are there and haven't gone back 200 years. The stuffed animals are a very strange thing to have around. A bit more light would make it feel more homely and at least you could see what your eating or drinking. Wouldn't make it my first pub of call, but okay if you are passing (quickly).

The White Horse, Rainham

I don't think the White Horse will ever change. Why not change it back into a nice little quite pub offering b&b like years ago.
It's known for it's trouble and people just laugh and say no thanks when you mention the 'Wonkey Donkey'.

The Cricketers, Rainham

Well I think it's fab.
It's about time we had a decent pub in Rainham, well actually the only one in Rainham.
It's doing really well, the choice of drinks is brill, and the food is great. Not boil in the bag type, unless you are going to the wrong Cricketers.
No tracksuit bottoms or vest tops! Hurray about time. There are nice ones and chavy ones, which most people wear the chavy to short and to tight chavy ones. Chav's are no longer in the Cricks, or if they are they are at least hidden up.
All ages welcome and it's a great atmosphere had by all.

The White Horse, Rainham

Needs a total refurb, get rid of the trash that drink in there, and there has been a fight outside for the last 3 weeks. Close it down, it won't be missed.

The Cricketers, Rainham

Well I think it's fab, and the best pub around. Kentbeerboys and the chavs we don't want here, so stay at the Wonky Donkey or the Hop & Vine. The food is fab, the place is fab and so are the people. Football is not the end of the world. Watch it at home, surely nearly everyone has Sky at home! They are going to show the big matches on the large screens, and also the not so important matches but the sound will be off for them ones. Obviously you all new Craig that well, considering he hasn't worked there since it shut down. Never mind at least you got one name right. The crowds are still rolling in and will carry on doing so. Well done to all the staff for making it a place to be. More girls are going in now which is great, not all men at last.
