Doom bar and hetty stogies on the draft and my brother beer was a little warm - guniness fairly good. Very average pub in a town full of ones much better. Castle and Queens much better - staff seemed a little stuck up, food supposed to be good but didnt try it

If your into your ales then this isnt the place for you - its kinda like working mensclub meets tattoo parlour. Went there about 8 months ago and won a load of money from a painter and decorator from south london playing pool, went there last week and someone said he was in prison for armed robbery - nice

When here with my brother a week or so ago. Although its a tied pub and only offers Tribute on draft it has a good variety of other lagers and ciders on the front bar. Staff very pleasant and helpful but best of all the Guinness, my personal favourite, was the best i have ever tasted - bitter,sweet and spicy and for that it gets a double thumbs up!! - Oh, great atmosphere here too when sports were on - will be coming back during the world cup for a glass of the black stuff - great

Lifeboat Inn, St Ives
if st ives had a wetherspoons then this is it, cheap food (both quality and price) other reviews are right - its full of kids! Loads of staff propping the bar up chatting. Beer pretty good but not very "atmospheric" - awsome views. Has band nights on Friday and Saturday which draw a crowd. If they didnt rely on refrying frozen food then this could be a much better place.
