this bar has really imporved a lot recently. The food here is really excellent quality for the price - youd pay about the same or a touch more for food at weatherspoons but this is 100times better quality and much much bigger portions! Best value for money food in Epsom i would say. Drinks too are very reasonable, cannot complain about the price. Pub is a bit dead now at the weekends compared to a few years ago, not the most 'happening' place to be anymore, but i would definitely recommend you go there for lunch one day.

majorly overpriced! Drinks will cost you a bomb beware! Food pretty nasty and overpriced too - mega tiny portions.

needs a refurb, full of chavs, TOTALLY overpriced - entry price is rediculous, drinks prices too are ludicrous.

A good place for a quick cheap-ish drink but dont waste your money on the food here. Almost all the food is cooked from frozen - pretty much everything bar the salads!
The place is severely understaffed! Resulting in food orders taking over 30mins just for a staqrter and then another 45mins ontop for mains, rediculous!
Nice to sit outside in the summer but come evening time the place really has nothing to offer. Food portions are tiny and clearly sit out under the lamps for ages drying up - dont try and ask for a few more chips to add to your stingy '7 chips only' portion as you'll be replied to with a blunt 'chef says no'. Staff are cold and unfriendly, including the managers. Dont expect to see a smile in this place!

The pub is quite drab and dreary insdie, nice and big though. Frequently you get dodgy people there tho - they always seem to hang out in the weatherspoons'! This is not a 'comfortable' pub although decent enough if you want a quick cheap drink. The food may be cheap but dont fall for it - unless you like the minimalist cuisine - tiny portions, if ordering with friends dont expect to get your food until your friend has long finished theirs (totally unacceptable i think!) food is also clearly microwaved from the freezer.

Rubbing House, Epsom Downs
extremely over priced drinks - came to almost �10 for two glasses of pimms - i nearly fell off my chair! Waiting staff cant seem to understand simple orders - double portion of salad recquested instead of any kind of potato - wasn't acknowledged at all, when i reminded the waitress when she brought me a dinner with chips (i have diabetes i cannot eat carbs!!) she angrily said that i had no recquested salad, stomped off and left me to it. Charming.
