waited nearly 15mins to get served, then the barmaid spoke to the bloke next to me in polish i think, and somehow he got his 3 drinks before we got our 2. no service with a smile in this pub.
rubbish service, rubbish barstaff =rubbish pub.
cheap but NOT cheerful.
plenty other good pubs in the area, avoid this 1 at all costs.

popped in again last friday night and found it very quiet and hardly recognised anyone in there. most of the regulars were missing and i didnt like the atmosphere. kareoke was on but the singing was dreadful. not much has changed or been done to improve the decor inside and the ladies loo leaves a lot to be desired.
looks like this once good pub has had its day. there are plenty others in the area that are much better and modern.
this pubs not for me.

good pub if you like getting kicked out at 11.45pm. great kareoke nites on fridays and sundays but finish far too early.
beer prices are a bit pricey compared to other pubs in the area.
good atmosphere on fri,sat,sun,but beware the pikeys.
pooltable and darts if you dont like kareoke, lovely barmaids.
a few charachters visit this pub and a good time can be had.
ladies toilets need improving.
but an enjoyable nite out nonetheless.
i will be back.

The Duke Of York, Acton
popped into the duke a few sundays ago and had a great time, it was a much friendlier place to drink than when i last visited a few months ago. ladies loos are much improved and you dont have to que for ages now. bar staff were friendly and efficient and the pub had a happy atmosphere about it.
will visit again soon.
