The Jolly Sailors, Pakefield

This pub (in April 2014) has new owners.
All the internal walls have been knocked out to reveal the sumptuous sea view and the sea food menu is absolutely fantastic.

Don't take my word - try it.

I am just a (lucky) local resident.

My previous posting about this pub has to be ignored...

The Jolly Sailor, Orford

This is, and has always been, a Pub that time forgot (thank God).

We have'nt been there for a bit due to the shifting bar on the sea approaches but when we last called there was a chart available from behind the bar for a pound from a local who had taken up to date chart soundings to help yachts.

A totally brilliant old, unspoiled Pub!

- WARNING: not to be confused with "The Jolly Sailor'S' " Pakefield, Lowestoft whch is a plastic microwave eatary (look it up)...

Elleven out of ten...

NOT, 'JOLLY SAILOR' (that is a Pub of distinction somewhat further south - look it up)- "J O L L Y S A I L O R S".

If you want to know about the ingredients of your meal and ask the staff they repeatedly answer, '"I'll go to the kitchen and read the box".

Cheap microwaved food at expensive prices eaten in the ambiance of a drunk owner dressing down the staff in front of customers...

Most commonly used phraise, "Chips or salad"?

This is a costly Cafe'.

The Trowel and Hammer, Lowestoft

I used to think that this was the best pub in the world.
I 'drank' there for over 20years until the new Asian Bar Manager decided to tell customers that I was was a 'shirt lifter' a*se bandit (gay) so I don't go there any more for fear of getting arrested for punching a halfwitted personalityless fecker's lights out...

What more can I say...? Don't go there if you have an oversion to tw**s

This was my experience...
