The St Lawrence Tavern, St Lawrence
Can't stand this place. It's loud, rowdy and unfriendly. Okay if you like lager louts and football.
I spent about as long as it takes to down a pint there with my boyfriend a while back - as one of the boozed up locals decided it would be great fun to take the p**s out of us for no reason other than we were there. The barman stood right in front of him as he got more and more obnoxious but did nothing to intervene. We drank up and left. Won't be back either, thanks very much.

I like this place. The Southwood, Australian Arms and St Lawrence Tavern are all our locals - but Southwood is by far our favourite. Sure, the Australian has more interesting beers, but the Southwood is much more friendly. It's the sort of place you can go for a quiet drink and be left alone of you want to be, or have a conversation if you want one.
Unless you go when they have live music (often Sundays) when the 'musicians' make up in volume what they clearly lack in ability...
